According to report, China's ferrochrome import prices and charge chrome prices remained flat last week as demand remains slow due to market uncertainty.

The spot price for high carbon ferrochrome from India (58~60% Cr) was 84~85 cents/lb. CIF China and charge chrome from South Africa (48~52% Cr ) was at 83~84 cents/lb. CIF basis. Prices are not changed from one week earlier.

Buyers still show small interests to buying more charge chrome now due to market uncertainty on long delivery time for about two to three months as the stainless steel prices may fall and production cut in China. Smaller producers have halted the production as well.
